MAJ. Aziz Ali brings over 15 years of expertise in public service, national security, and counter-terrorism to his role as a board member at Deep Blue Dive Therapy Inc. A first-generation American with Middle Eastern heritage, Aziz was deeply affected by the events of September 11, 2001, which underscored the cultural challenges he faced and fueled his dedication to bridging divides and safeguarding our way of life. His career has been shaped by a commitment to fostering understanding across cultures, with a focus on protecting both communities and country.
A passionate diver since the age of 14, Aziz has always found peace and purpose in the ocean. It was through his shared love of diving that he crossed paths with Deep Blue Dive Therapy founder, Larry Wilson, at the U.S. Embassy in Amman, Jordan. Both combat veterans grappling with the challenges of PTSD, Aziz and Larry discovered a shared sense of healing beneath the waves of the Red Sea. Their work with the dive team at the Deep Blue Dive Center in Jordan inspired what would become Deep Blue Dive Therapy—a transformative organization supporting veterans and first responders through ocean-based therapy.
An accomplished master diver, Aziz is highly skilled in deep diving, wreck exploration, underwater navigation, and search and rescue. His impressive academic background includes a master’s degree in International Relations, which he earned with honors from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Commissioned as an intelligence officer in the U.S. Air Force in 2012, he continues to serve in the NY Air National Guard while pursuing a law degree at Cornell University, specializing in Arbitration and Dispute Resolution.
Aziz's diverse experiences and unwavering dedication to service make him an invaluable member of the Deep Blue Dive Therapy board, helping to guide the organization’s mission of offering healing and support to veterans and first responders across the United States.
